Our Mission at Glow Up is to provide professional dance instruction in a fun and safe environment. We aim to make every dancer feel seen and ignite a passion for dance within themselves. The staff here at Glow Up care about their dancers' physical and mental health. Whether your child just wants to dance for fun or take it to the next level, we have dance lessons for everyone!

Nikki is Co-Owner & Director at Glow Up Dance Studio! She started dancing at the age of four with jazz and acrobatics, then added Ballet, Lyrical, Dance Team, Pointe, and HipHop. Miss Nikki is IYAP certified as a dance studio owner, has 7 years teaching multiple styles of dance, and has experience working behind the scenes. She is very energetic, will always encourage smiles and facial expressions while dancing, and is a stickler for pointed toes. Her passion for dance has grown into teaching at a competitive level, with her choreography winning many first place awards, titles, and too many special judges awards to count! She thrives on creating unique concepts, piecing together production numbers, and using many, many props. Her favorite styles are Theater, Lyrical, and Hip-hop! Nikki loves to work hard, but will never miss an opportunity to be a goofball.
She adores being able to share her passion of dance with all ages and levels of dancers, and loves making every dancer feel “seen”. When she is not teaching dance, you can catch her reading, watching Harry Potter, and hanging out with her Husband Brandon and her son Graham. She is excited to see her and Raven’s dream become reality and watch her students Glow🩷🖤

Miss Raven is one of the Co-Owners and Directors here at Glow Up. She has danced herself for a total of 10 years in the styles Hip-Hop, Jazz, Broadway, Dance Team, Ballet, and Lyrical. Shortly after graduation she took up teaching. Miss Raven has many years of teaching under her belt with kiddos ages ranging from 5-18 years old. She primarily taught her favorite styles, Hip-Hop and Jazz Funk, but also has experience teaching Lyrical, Acro, and Jazz. She has choreographed special award winning competition numbers and aims to have her students become the best versions of themselves. Miss Raven loves her music LOUD, and sharing her love of dance with others. She is a Governor Mifflin graduate, as well as a Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences graduate. When Miss Raven is not dancing she is relaxing with her husband and dog Sophie as well as working as a Surgical Technician!
Miss Cass started dancing at the age of three with Kathleen Reinhold’s Dance Studio. She has gained experience in many styles from three studios with her strongest styles being Ballet, Pointe, and Lyrical. She also joined her studios competition team, and competed for two years. She has gained experience in many styles from three studios with her strongest styles being Ballet, Pointe, and Lyrical. She also joined her studios competition team, and competed for two years. Miss Cass started as a volunteer at dance recitals and soon enough became a teacher. She's made multiple competition dances taking home some judges awards and placing in the top 3 for multiple dances! Miss Cass loves dancing and being able to express herself through this hobby! When she isn't dancing you'll find her at anime conventions and hanging with her animal's. She graduated from Governor Mifflin High-school and later from BTI with a degree in Massage Therapy. She's currently working full time at AAA. She is so excited to be apart of this family!
Hip hop class is a dynamic and energetic dance session that focuses on the fundamentals of hip hop culture and movement. The class typically starts with a warm-up to get the body moving. As the class progresses, students will practice various steps and routines, building up to a full dance sequence. It's a fun and engaging way to improve rhythm, coordination, and overall fitness while enjoying the upbeat music!
White sneakers are required, sweatpants and t-shirts are allowed for this class.
Jazz class is a vibrant and energetic dance style that focuses on the fundamentals of jazz dance. Participants will start with a warm-up that includes stretching and strengthening exercises. The class will then move on to learning basic jazz steps such as kicks, leaps, and turns, gradually building up to more complex choreography. The routines are often set to lively music, making the class both fun and dynamic. It's a great way to improve flexibility, coordination, and expressiveness while enjoying the upbeat and rhythmic nature of jazz dance.
Ballet dance class is a structured and disciplined session that focuses on the techniques and artistry of classical ballet. The class typically begins with barre exercises, where participants practice fundamental movements such as pliés, tendus, and relevés to build strength and flexibility. As the class progresses, students move to the center of the room to work on more complex steps, including pirouettes, arabesques, and grand jetés. Emphasis is placed on proper posture, alignment, and graceful execution of movements. Ballet classes offer a wonderful way to develop balance, and technical skill while appreciating the elegance of this timeless dance form. A leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and the optional ballet skirt is the permitted attire for class.
Must be 10 years old and in a Ballet class to take
In this Class, students will begin in Prepointe where they will learn proper ballet technique, build strength in their ankles and calves, and work their way up en pointe. A pointe readiness test will be given to each student when the instructor feels they are ready. After passing and receiving your pointe paper, you will schedule a pointe shoe fitting with the instructor to get fitted for your pointe shoes. Students must be 10 or older to enroll in pre-pointe, and if younger than 13 years old and ready to go en pointe, must bring in a Dr.’s note stating the growth plate in their feet is fully formed. Pointe readiness tests cannot be requested by parents unless the student has been en pointe previously. Pink ballet shoes or pointe shoes, Pink tights and a black leotard are required for this class, ballet skirts are optional.
Tap class is an exhilarating style of dance where participants learn to create rhythmic patterns and sounds using their feet. The class typically begins with a warm-up that focuses on loosening the ankles and legs, followed by basic tap steps such as shuffles, flaps, and heel-toe combinations. As the class progresses, students will practice more complex sequences and routines, developing their timing, coordination, and musicality. The distinctive sound of tap shoes hitting the floor adds an exciting auditory element to the dance, making it a fun and engaging way to build rhythm, agility, and precision. Black tap shoes and tan tights are required for this class.

A lyrical dance class is an expressive and emotive dance session that blends elements of ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. Participants will start with a warm-up to loosen up. The class focuses on interpreting the music and conveying emotions through dance, with an emphasis on smooth, flowing movements, and storytelling. Students will learn choreography that combines technical skills with expressive gestures, aiming to connect deeply with the music and lyrics. Tan tights and tan lyrical shoes are required for this class.
AcroDance is a unique blend of classical dance techniques and acrobatic elements. In an acro dance class, participants will learn to seamlessly integrate acrobatic movements such as handstands, cartwheels, and flips with traditional dance steps and choreography. The class typically begins with a thorough warm-up to prepare the body for the strength and flexibility required for acrobatic tricks. As the class progresses, students will practice both individual skills and group routines. To ensure the safety of your dancer please be sure they are barefoot for this class.
A jazz funk class is an exciting blend of jazz dance techniques and hip hop. This class combines the precision and elegance of jazz with the edgy, expressive style of funk. Participants will start with a warm-up that includes stretching and basic jazz exercises to build strength and flexibility. As the class progresses, students will learn dynamic routines that incorporate sharp, fast movements and smooth, fluid transitions. The choreography is set to upbeat music, making it a fun and energetic way to improve dance skills, coordination, and musicality. Tan jazz shoes and tan tights are required for this class.
Must also be in a Jazz class to take
In this class, your dancer will focus on combining the arts of acting and dancing. They will be learning to “use their face” while dancing which will help them perform better in other styles as well! Dancers will begin with a warm up, learn basic jazz technique, incorporate Ballet movements, and learn how to dance with props. Dancers will also learn the art of Pantomime (using your facial expressions to tell a story) and Lip syncing (mouthing the words silently). This class is for any student looking to have fun, learn how to tell a story through movement, wants to step up their acting skills, and loves to perform on stage. Tan Jazz shoes and tan tights are required for this class.
Must also be in Jazz 2 to take, entry at discretion of instructor
This is a class for the ultimate performer. In Broadway you will begin with a warm up, learn technique from various styles of dance, use your full out acting skills on stage, and capture the audience with storytelling. Different acting exercises will be incorporated into lessons. Dancers in this class will already have the basic skills of acting and technique and are looking to kick it up a notch. Tan Jazz shoes and tan tights are required for this class. Character shoes, pedinis, or black jazz shoes may also be used at any time per instructor request.
A cheer dance class combines the high-energy elements of cheerleading with the creativity of dance. Participants will learn a variety of cheer techniques, along with dance routines that emphasize sharp movements, synchronization, and expressive performance. The class usually starts with a warm-up to get the body ready. As the session progresses, students will practice cheer and dance choreography, often working in teams to build trust and coordination. In this class students will learn cheer arms, acrobatic elements, and stunting. It's a fun and spirited way to improve fitness, rhythm, and teamwork while embracing the enthusiastic spirit of cheerleading. White sneakers and tan tights are required for this class.
For younger dancers, we know that attention spans can be short, which is why we keep things moving by combining two styles for the price of one! Dancers will receive a half hour of each style in the class they choose, whether they decide on one or want to learn it all! Our youngest dancers are offered Ballet/Tap, or Hiphop/AcroDance. Dancers will begin with a warm up, dance to follow along songs to help engage them, focus on learning rights and lefts, get used to the classroom setting, and learn how to move with music to a choreographed routine. Beginner level dancers are able to take Ballet/Lyrical, Tap/Jazz, and a Hiphop/AcroDance class. Dancers will warm up, learn proper stretching, begin technique training, and learn a choreographed routine for the showcase.
Must be in a lyrical class and have 1+ years contemporary to take
Join us for an invigorating contemporary dance class that blends various dance styles and techniques, encouraging creativity and self-expression. This class is designed for dancers of all levels, focusing on fluid movement, improvisation, and the exploration of personal style. Through a combination of structured exercises and free movement, students will develop strength, flexibility, and a deeper understanding of rhythm and space. Each session includes warm-ups, choreography, and the opportunity to collaborate with peers. Embrace the freedom of movement and discover your unique voice in the world of contemporary dance. Tan tights and tan lyrical shoes are required for this class. Tan “Footundeez” may also be required.

At Glow Up, we welcome all dancers whether they just put on their first pair of dance shoes or have been competing for years! We take the time to get to know each child and work with them to make each class fun and rewarding! We focus on the health and safety of your dancer above all else and believe positive reinforcement is the key to growth as a dancer and as a person. We want to help raise a generation of dancers that are confident in themselves and their abilities inside and outside of the studio!
YES! We offer a free trial week for your dancer to trial any style of dance so they can decide which one they like the best!
Due to limited staff, we ask all questions to be delivered via email. We are also able to answer text messages. We will try our best to answer within 2-3 business days. We pride ourselves on our communication skills and will always be here to answer any questions you may have! Phone calls will be answered when staff is available and in person meetings may be scheduled via email.
The parent portal will be your best friend when it comes to making payments, registering for classes, and finding important upcoming events via our Google calendar! All credit card payments must be made via the parent portal.
YES. We require a working card on file at all times. If you pay with cash or check before autopay is run, then no money will be taken out from autopay. You may also choose to pay with a different card through your parent portal.
Tuition is due by the 7th of the month. It will be posted by the 1st to give time for cash or check payments. Autopay will be run on the 7th. If it does not go through, additional fees will be applied.

Yes! We will offer multiple fundraisers throughout the year to help offset costs! More information will be given at a later date.
Yes. Although, we can offer a makeup class if several classes are missed due to illness.
Classes must be dropped before the end of the month. If the new month comes then autopay will still be ran as normal. Please reach out asap when considering dropping a class.
